"I treat a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, eating difficulties, insomnia, and interpersonal communication. Starting with trust and a non-judgmental relationship, I like to work collaboratively to help individuals, couples and families define and reach their goals. I primarily work from a Cognitive-Behavioral framework and integrate other techniques to fit the individual needs of my clients. "


​Dr. Adler is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford University Medical School. She received her doctorate from the joint program between the Stanford University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology where she was awarded a merit scholarship. Dr. Adler trained at both the San Francisco and Palo Alto VA Hospitals, where she focused on behavioral medicine and CBT for anxiety respectively. Dr. Adler is the Author of The DBT Solution for Emotional Eating, which was written and  tested for her doctoral dissertation.

She completed her clinical internship at the University of San Diego/VA consortium where she specialized in evidenced based treatments for behavioral medicine, sleep, and mood disorders. She was also part of a comprehensive DBT team where she led groups, and provided intensive individual treatment. Dr. Adler completed a clinical post-doctoral fellowship at the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Psychosocial Treatment clinic where she provided evidenced based treatments including DBT, CBT and ACT to individuals, families, couples and groups. Dr. Adler spent 2 additional years completing a research fellowship at the Stanford University Clinical Excellence Research Center designing and implementing health care innovations for chronic diseases. Dr. Adler currently sits on the advisory board of multiple bay area companies helping with business strategy and behavior change.
