Our fees are based on usual and customary fees for psychologists in the area and will be discussed during the phone consultation.
If you are considering utilizing health insurance to cover all or a part of session fees, we recommend that you contact your insurance company before beginning therapy.
We are considered “out-of-network” providers for most insurance plans. If you have a preferred provider organization (“PPO”) plan, you may be able to be reimbursed for a portion of session fees by your insurer. When contacting your insurer, we recommend inquiring about copays, coinsurance, and deductibles for outpatient psychotherapy with an out-of-network provider.
We are in-network for most Aetna insurance plans, including plans for employees of Stanford that are administered by Aetna, such as Stanford Healthcare Alliance (“SHCA”) and Aetna Choice plans. We are not in-network with Aetna Medicare. Before your intake phone call, we will conduct a courtesy check of your Aetna insurance benefits if that information has been provided. However, we recommend that you also contact your insurer to verify your benefits, including any copays, coinsurance, or deductibles for outpatient psychotherapy with an in-network provider.
