About me

I work with clients to help them utilize their strengths and improve their coping. I have expertise working with clients with a history of trauma, anxiety, depression and addiction. I use evidence based techniques to help clients achieve their goals. My techniques include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).​”

Dr. Brodsky completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she was awarded a NIH grant to train in Behavioral Genetics. She completed her predoctoral internship at The Northern California VA Medical Center and a clinical postdoctoral fellowship at Kaiser Permanente with an emphasis in addictions and trauma. She has worked for many years as an Attending Psychologist at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System and is currently the Director of Addiction Consultation and Treatment; she also carries a clinical affiliated position as an Associate Professor at Stanford School of Medicine. She has taught courses at the University of Colorado at Boulder and at Palo Alto University. She uses humor and compassion to help clients achieve balanced values based lives.
