"How do you want to live your life? What is important to you? Are there thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that get in the way of building a life worth living? I work with individuals and families to help clarify values and move towards goals. My approach is collaborative, integrative, individualized, and some may say irreverent. I use therapeutic techniques that have shown to be effective, setting treatment priorities and assessing progress on a regular basis. At the same time, no two people and no two families are the same. I strive to form a relationship that capitalizes on your strengths, skills, and life experiences."
I work with adults, adolescents, and families. My theoretical framework is cognitive behavioral and I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for disordered eating behaviors, body image concerns, anxiety disorders, alcohol use problems, and relationship difficulties. In addition to being certified in Family Based Therapy (FBT) for eating disorders, I also specialize in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In my practice, I integrate mindfulness, compassion, and acceptance and commitment informed interventions.
Dr. Osipov is on the clinical faculty at the Stanford University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and is a certified Family Based Therapist (FBT) for Eating Disorders. She has extensive training and experience working with adults, adolescents, and families. Dr. Osipov specializes in FBT for eating disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for eating disorders, anxiety, alcohol use problems as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for adults and adolescents struggling to manage emotions, past trauma, relationship challenges, and other problem behaviors. She enjoys working with her clients to identify and work towards values congruent goals, helping them develop and apply skills and strategies to manage barriers to change.
