"Individuals often come to therapy because they are having difficulties in relationships, coping with work-related stress, or managing intense emotions related to past experiences. They may be dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, or substance use which they feel has become unmanageable. My aim as a therapist is to help you reconnect with your own strengths and empower you to overcome your challenges, to see things in a new way, or perhaps, to identify your goals and values. I view therapy as a very collaborative process in which we will work together to help you build the life you want to live."
Dr. Moberg employs evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and also integrates mindfulness and values work into her practice as indicated. In addition to her clinical practice, she has helped build a mental health app designed for individuals to manage their stress, anxiety, and depression. Her work includes creating therapeutic content, conducting research on efficacy, and translating clinical concepts into information that non-clinicians can understand and utilize. Her experience working in a start-up has also given her a unique perspective on the challenges and rewards faced by entrepreneurs and those in the tech industry.
Christine earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed her clinical internship at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System and her postdoctoral fellowship in the Stanford University Department of Psychiatry. Her training focused on treating substance use disorders, bipolar disorder, trauma-related conditions, and anxiety and depressive disorders.
